I was just sitting at my desk and before I knew it my mind started to wonder into past discussions that I have had with others and I began to break things down. I feel myself getting upset by some things that were said and really, I shouldn't be. Some things may have been hurtful but if that is how that person felt at the time, I can't be angry. When you have an idle mind, it leaves room for satan to attack at that very moment. Feelings and thoughts that were created to confuse how you may have felt about a situation. This leaves room also for gossip which may arise from those feelings. Hearing or possibly seeing what you may think is something negative leads to possible gossip. When in doubt always go to the source, this will always give you the answer you are searching for. For those of you who may not know the exact definition of idle, here you go...
Idle-not working or active; unemployed; doing nothing
Below are a few scriptures that support my thoughts at the moment....
Paul stated, "And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not' (1 Timothy 5:13)
"Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm" (1 Timothy 1:5-7)
"But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness" (2 Timothy 2:16)
This is a reminder to myself as well as others to stay with your mind on Jesus and to not let my flesh over rule whta God is doing in the spirit.

Focus on God
Just thought I would give you all a piece of my reading this morning. Hope you are blessed by this snippet. =)
Psalm 111:2-4
Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.
He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
2 Corinthians 5:6-7
Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight.
"Prayer is not merely going to God with a shopping list of things we want Him to do for us, but rather it is being in a relationship with him, listening to him and sharing our hearts with him. He is the God that provides and he is in control. He knows everything that is happening and is not caught off guard. His love is perfect. Consider who he is instead of focusing on yourself or another person. With this you are better able to pray with faith." (Susan Alexander Yates)

Just when you thought it was over
Just when you thought it was over and you escaped the pain,
Another obstacle surfaces and boggles your brain.
Get on your knees and ask for guidance through this test,
"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you the rest" (Matt 11:28)
says the Lord.
Trust him with your heart and soul,
For the holy spirit exists to console.
"And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear...." (1 Cor. 10:13)
Just hold on and let HIM wipe your tears.
Remember that the word of God is your strength,
No matter the depth or the length...
"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist
and the breastplate of rightoeusness in place." (Eph. 6:14)
"take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God," so his will can be done. (Eph. 6:17)
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against evil spirits that walk this world.
Continue to pray and have faith,
trusting God to keep you in his mercy and grace.
Know that whatever you are going through,
It's just a future testimony for me and you.
Each day has troubles of it's own,
but eternal happiness in heaven is our home.
So just when you thought it was over and escaped the pain,
Remember the sun always comes out after the rain.
"Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens" (Psalm 68:19)
Who will always be here to rescue you from your distress and your hurting.
It was already over before it began,
Look through your spiritual eyes and God will show you his plan.
So thank God for being his child!!!
Loving us to the point where we should always have a smile....
Don't let problems of this world get you down, but try to keep your mind on heavenly affairs so that you may resist any temptation that the devil may swing your way.
Psalm 34:8Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
